I am very impressed with the service I received from HEP. I recently had them install a tankless water heater and relocate the hookups to my basement. This left a hole in the ceiling from the vent, some holes in the floor for the old piping, as well as an unfinished piece of flooring where the old hot water heater used to sit. The quote I received wasn't specific to either include or exclude the time of a dry waller to match the stamped patter of my ceiling surface or for someone to come out and replace a piece of subfloor AND lay new laminate flooring. I didn't have to argue. I am used to having to argue to get good service from contractors and HEP just did the work no questions asked. In addition to the plumbing work they sent out two separate service calls to fix the ceiling and the floor and the space looks like there was never a hot water heater to begin with. I'm sure that those additional trips ate into their planned budget/profit of the water heater installation but since the quote and contract weren't specific they just did the work without any push back! I will definitely be spending my money with HEP in the future because I trust that they have integrity with their work and they aren't just in it for a quick buck. They are obviously looking to build relationships for lifelong customers. I will be that lifelong customer. I already have another quote with them for another project in the works.

A dependable hot water supply is essential for the comfort, hygiene, and efficiency of any household in Harrogate. Traditional storage cylinders can struggle to keep up with modern demands, occupy valuable space, and consume unnecessary energy. HEP enhances day-to-day living with specialised plumbing services focused on tankless water heater installation. By combining deep technical knowledge with an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, HEP delivers systems that provide instant, continuous hot water while lowering energy consumption and reclaiming cupboard space. Whether retrofitting an older terraced home near The Stray or adding the finishing touch to a new-build in Beckwithshaw, HEP tailors every installation to the property, water quality, and lifestyle of Harrogate residents.

Understanding Tankless Water Heater Technology

How Tankless Units Work

Tankless, or on-demand, water heaters warm water only when a tap opens. High-output gas burners or electric elements activate as flow sensors detect demand, heating water as it passes through a compact heat exchanger. The result is a stream that can run indefinitely without the standby losses associated with traditional cylinders.

Key Components HEP Installs

  • Stainless-steel or copper heat exchanger
  • Modulating gas valve or electric element bank
  • Digital control panel with diagnostic display
  • Integral flow sensor and temperature sensor array
  • Condensing venting system and condensate neutraliser
  • Hard-water scale-inhibition cartridge where required

By selecting premium components from leading UK-approved manufacturers, HEP ensures longevity, top-tier efficiency, and simplified maintenance.

Core Performance Metrics

  • Flow rate capacity measured in litres per minute (L/min)
  • Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) and seasonal efficiency
  • Minimum activation rate to prevent “cold water sandwich”
  • Turndown ratio for efficient low-flow operation

Well-calibrated metrics equate to reliable temperature stability during simultaneous showers, dishwashing, and laundry cycles.

Reasons Homeowners in Harrogate Choose Tankless Water Heaters

  • Continuous hot water for larger families or guest accommodation
