FAQs
What types of plumbing fixtures can you replace?
We can replace virtually any residential or light-commercial plumbing fixture, including faucets, sinks, toilets, shower valves, tubs, garbage disposals, dishwashers, refrigerator ice-maker lines, outdoor hose bibbs, and utility/laundry sinks. If it carries water in or out of your building, our licensed plumbers have the tools and training to remove the old unit, make any needed pipe or valve adjustments, and install a new, code-compliant fixture.
How do I know whether a fixture should be repaired or completely replaced?
A fixture is usually a good candidate for replacement when: • It is 10–15 years old and parts are no longer readily available. • You see chronic leaks, corrosion, or mineral buildup that returns after each repair. • Performance has declined (low flow, weak flush, irregular temperature control). • Cracks, chips, or rust threaten structural integrity or sanitary safety. • You want to upgrade to a water-efficient, ADA-compliant, or stylistically updated model. During our on-site evaluation, we’ll inspect the fixture, explain your options, and provide upfront pricing for both repair (if feasible) and replacement so you can make an informed decision.
How long does a typical fixture replacement take and will my water be shut off the whole time?
Most single-fixture swaps—such as a faucet, toilet, or disposal—take 1–2 hours once we’re on site. More involved projects like a tub/shower valve or undermount sink can take 3–4 hours due to tile or countertop work. We only shut off the water supply serving that fixture, and usually only for 20–40 minutes while we disconnect the old unit and tie in the new one. Whole-house shut-offs are rare and we’ll always let you know in advance if they’re required.
Can I provide my own fixture, or do I have to purchase it through you?
You are welcome to supply your own fixture as long as it is new, undamaged, and carries the proper U.S. plumbing certifications (UPC, NSF, etc.). Many customers choose this option to match a specific décor. If you prefer, we can supply professional-grade fixtures from trusted brands that aren’t always available in retail stores and include them on the same invoice as the labor. Either way, we’ll confirm compatibility with existing plumbing, check for missing parts, and honor our standard labor warranty on the installation.
What should I do to prepare my home before the plumber arrives?
1. Clear out the cabinet or area around the fixture so we have unobstructed access. 2. Remove fragile items, toiletries, or cleaning products to prevent accidental damage. 3. Make sure pets are secured and pathways from the entrance to the work area are clear. 4. If you’ve purchased your own fixture, keep it in the original packaging nearby so we can inspect it. 5. Know where your main shut-off is located; we rarely need it, but it’s good information in case of emergency. Taking these simple steps helps us complete the job quickly and keeps your home clean.
Do you offer warranties on the new fixtures and your workmanship?
Yes. All fixtures we supply come with a manufacturer’s warranty that typically ranges from 1 year to lifetime coverage depending on the product line. In addition, we back our labor with a 1-year workmanship guarantee. If any installation-related issue arises within that period, we will return and correct it at no charge. For customer-supplied fixtures, our labor warranty remains the same, but any material defects are covered by the manufacturer’s policy.
