FAQs
What types of boilers can you install in Manchester?
We supply and fit a full range of A-rated gas condensing boilers, including combination (combi), system, and regular (heat-only) models. Our engineers work with leading brands such as Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Baxi and Viessmann, and we can advise which type is most suitable for your property size, hot-water demand and existing pipework. If you are switching boiler types (for example, from a regular to a combi), we will also upgrade any associated cylinders, pumps or controls as part of the installation.
How long does a boiler installation usually take?
A like-for-like combi-to-combi swap is normally completed in one working day. Converting from an old regular or system boiler to a modern combi typically takes 2–3 days because tanks and redundant pipework have to be removed. During your free survey we will give you an accurate timeline that factors in flushing the system, commissioning the appliance and demonstrating the controls. We arrange installation dates to minimise disruption and can work around your schedule if required.
Do I need to leave my home while the boiler is being installed?
In most cases you can stay at home. There will be periods when your water, gas and electricity supplies are temporarily isolated and there will be some noise as we drill and cut pipework, but we keep disruption to a minimum and clean up as we go. If you work from home, let us know and we can plan the noisiest tasks for times that suit you. Very rarely, if asbestos is discovered, we may need to pause work until it is professionally removed, but this will be discussed in advance.
Are your engineers fully qualified and Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Every engineer who attends your property holds current Gas Safe registration, the legal requirement for anyone working on gas appliances in the UK. We will show you our ID cards on arrival, record the installation on the Gas Safe database and provide you with a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate. Our team also has City & Guilds plumbing qualifications, carries public liability insurance and routinely undergoes manufacturer training to keep up to date with the latest boiler technology.
How much does a new boiler installation cost in Manchester?
Prices vary according to the boiler brand, output rating, complexity of the job and whether extra work such as flue relocation, radiator upgrades or smart controls is needed. As a guideline, a straightforward combi replacement starts from around £1,800 including VAT, parts and labour. A full conversion with system alterations can range from £2,500 to £3,500. We provide a fixed-price written quotation after a free on-site survey, and we offer flexible finance options (subject to status) so you can spread the cost over up to 10 years.
Do you provide warranties and after-care services?
Absolutely. All boilers we install come with a manufacturer’s warranty of between 5 and 12 years, depending on the model. We register the warranty on your behalf and supply all documentation. Your first annual service is free of charge, and we offer optional service plans from £8 per month that cover yearly maintenance, 24/7 breakdown call-outs and parts & labour on approved repairs. Our customer support line is based in Manchester and operates 365 days a year for any questions you may have.
