FAQs
What is included in your upfront-price drain opening service?
Our flat rate covers one standard mechanical clearing of a single residential drain line (kitchen sink, bath, laundry, floor, or main sewer up to 100 ft). The technician will perform a brief diagnostic, set up protective floor coverings, run the appropriate cable or hydro-jetting equipment to remove the obstruction, flush the line to verify flow, and clean the work area. All labor, standard machine time, and common disposal fees are included—there are no hidden trip, fuel, or weekend surcharges.
How do you determine the price before any work begins?
When you call or book online we ask a few questions about the symptom (slow drain, standing water, recurring clog, etc.), the fixture involved, and the home’s age. This lets us quote a fixed price from our published rate sheet. When the technician arrives, they will confirm the information on site. As long as the job matches the description you provided, the price does not change. If we find additional issues—such as multiple backed-up lines or a collapsed pipe—we’ll explain the situation, present written options, and wait for your approval before proceeding.
What types of drains can you open?
We service virtually every residential drain: • Kitchen and bathroom sinks • Bathtub and shower drains • Toilets and urinals • Laundry standpipes • Floor and area drains • Main sewer or lateral lines up to the property clean-out. Commercial or high-rise applications, grease traps, and storm drains can also be handled, but may require specialized equipment and a separate upfront quote.
Will you need to dig or cut into my pipes to clear the blockage?
In most cases, no. The vast majority of clogs are removed with a cable machine (also called a drain snake) or, when appropriate, hydro-jetting. These methods clear roots, grease, hair, and debris without excavation. We resort to pipe repair or spot digging only when the pipe is broken, bellied, or heavily corroded—conditions that mechanical cleaning cannot solve. If such a situation is discovered, we’ll show you the camera footage, discuss repair options, and provide a new upfront price before any invasive work begins.
What if my drain backs up again after you leave?
Every drain opening comes with a 30-day workmanship guarantee for the same line we serviced. If the line backs up again during that period, call us and we’ll return once at no charge to re-evaluate and clear it. If we discover a larger structural defect that was not visible during the initial visit, we’ll credit the full amount you already paid toward a permanent repair solution.
Do you offer emergency or after-hours drain opening, and does it cost more?
Yes. We have technicians on call 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Because our pricing is upfront and standardized, the same published rate applies regardless of when you need us. The only time a higher price would apply is if the job scope changes—for example, a second line is added or major repairs are needed—and we will always discuss and authorize that with you first.
