FAQs
What does your workmanship guarantee cover on a tankless water-heater install?
Our guarantee covers every aspect of the installation that is under our control—mounting the unit, sizing and running gas or propane lines, water connections, venting, electrical hookups, condensate drainage, and compliance with Cookeville and Putnam County building codes. If a leak, code violation, noise issue, or performance problem is traced back to our workmanship, we will return promptly and correct it at no cost to you.
How long is the workmanship guarantee valid?
The workmanship guarantee is valid for five (5) full years from the date we complete your installation. During that period we will repair or redo any installation-related defect free of charge. This guarantee is separate from—and in addition to—the manufacturer’s warranty on the tankless heater itself (usually 12 years on the heat exchanger and 5 years on parts).
Does the guarantee cover parts as well as labor?
Our workmanship guarantee covers labor and any installation materials we provided—piping, fittings, vent components, brackets, etc. Factory parts inside the water heater (boards, sensors, heat exchanger) fall under the manufacturer’s warranty. If one of those parts fails while still under the factory warranty, we’ll handle the paperwork and perform the labor to replace it; you would only be responsible for items not covered by the manufacturer.
What should I do if I experience a problem after the installation?
Simply call our Cookeville office 24/7 or submit a service request online. We’ll schedule a priority visit—usually the same or next business day. Our technician will diagnose the issue, explain the findings, and, when it’s workmanship-related, make the repair on the spot at no charge. There are no trip fees, diagnostic fees, or hidden costs while the guarantee is in effect.
Is the workmanship guarantee transferable if I sell my home?
Yes. The guarantee may be transferred once to the next homeowner within the first five years, provided you or the buyer notify us in writing within 60 days of the closing date. A transferable guarantee is a great selling point and helps preserve the value of your investment.
Are there any maintenance requirements to keep the guarantee valid?
To keep your tankless system running efficiently—and to preserve the guarantee—you must follow the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance: an annual flush/descale, cleaning of the inlet filter, and keeping water hardness below 12 grains per gallon. We offer discounted annual service plans that document this maintenance for you. Neglect that directly causes a failure (for example, severe scale buildup from never flushing the unit) may void the guarantee for that specific repair.
